JV girls tennis took another win in their matches against Timberland High School with a score of 8-3. Starting the season off strong freshman Rachel Latzel and her partner junior Sophie Rosser take their match 6-4. Although the game didn’t disappoint, Latzel can’t help but share her frustrations with the tennis honor system for line calls.
“Not all players are honest,” Latzel said, “Because tennis is on the honor system, while you play, some people like to call balls out that are clearly in the lines, and even if you know the call is wrong in the end it’s their choice.”
While the tennis team is on a roll, they’re ready for more wins to come this season. Follow the tennis team’s district tournaments starting Sept. 27, at Francis Howell High School.
