New club helps acclimate new students

The Spartaneers are a group of new students that meet a couple times a month as they try to get used to the environment at their new school and make new friends. The librarian, Mrs. Joan Rigby, is the sponsor of this club. The members of the Spartaneers, all 55 of them, meet in the library.

The only way that you can be a part of this club is if you are a new student; however if you would like to help out, you can start by welcoming all the new students and being friends with them. If you are a new student and would like to join the club, you have nothing to worry about because when the guidance office registers you as a new student you are already signed up for the club.

“They don’t come to us; we come to them,” said Mrs. Rigby.
