The girls golf team took on Timberland in its last match. The girls lost their last match by 17 strokes even though senior Emily Klobe, sophomore Becca Bates and sophomore Abbie Hill shot their best scores yet.
“I am frustrated when we lose because you feel like you’re putting in the work and it doesn’t pay off,” said Coach Bob Storts.
The team scored 226 and Timberland scored 209. The team has been doing well in some matches and poorly in others, according to Coach Storts. The team’s record now stands at 3-5.
The golf team has also been doing team spirit events in which the entire golf team goes to a sporting event to support the Spartans. Their next spirit event will be at the volleyball match on Oct. 20.
