Hassall is back and up to par

Senior Shelly Hassall has returned from her five week injury and qualified for sectionals with a score of 115 on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Senior Emily Klobe also qualified for the sectionals with a 107.

“I had a lot of pressure to do well, but I wasn’t competing against Emily; I was competing with her,” said Hassall.

Hassall was going to be out for the season but came back early due to the early healing of her injury. Coach Bob Storts was proud of both Hassall and Klobe when they qualified for sectionals.

“When I saw my score I thought I was out of sectionals for sure, and I was nervous until they said I had made it,” said Klobe.

According to Klobe and Hassall the two look forward to going to state and working together.
