I hate the Premier League

I hate the Premier League. It is so unpredictable, it’s ridiculous. My favorite team, Everton, can’t seem to string together a few wins.

First off, Leighton Baines missed a penalty kick. That is the first miss EVER of his Premier League career. Before that point in time, Leighton Baines has never ever missed a penalty in top flight football. Statistically, it’s more likely that all of humanity dies off before Baines misses a penalty. Well, maybe not that extreme, but you get the point.

Everton really need Ross Barkley back. He can control the midfield, dribble at defenders and make them make mistakes, and he just adds so much quality to the squad.

American goalkeeper Tim Howard needs to recapture his World Cup form, the one where he is making 16 saves, not letting in 16 goals in seven games, the MOST in the league at the moment. Howard has let in many soft goals; granted, some are attributed to the poor defense, but a lot of the goals scored against Everton would have easily been saved by the Howard in the World Cup. Everton lost the game 2-1 against Manchester United, who had lost their captain Wayne Rooney due to suspension. Rooney is sort of the driving force of United. He is a great player, so without him, I would’ve thought that United would have lost some of their bite. Unfortunately, I was wrong. They have enough attacking power, With Di Maria, Falcao, and van Persie, to cover for their loss.

Chelsea are still atop of the league with their win against Arsenal on Sunday. The rivalry got heated up in the 20 minute when Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger firmly placed two hands on Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had to be subbed off in the 24 minute due to a clash with Alexis Sanchez. Diego Costa added his ninth tally, making him soar above everyone else in the leaderboards. Honestly, he has surprised me. I knew he was a natural goal scorer, but I couldn’t even fathom him having nine goals in seven games. On the other spectrum, Arsenal had ten shots throughout the game, none of which hit the target.

The Premier League is a very competitive league and I love it. I just hate when my team doesn’t win.
