Candidate forum draws sizable audience

Approximately 75 people attended FHC Publications candidate forum for today’s board of education election

One of the 75 community members in attendance asks the four Board of Education candidates a question. The candidates gathered as part of FHC Publications candidate forum a week ahead of the April 5 election, where two of the candidates will earn spots on the board.

Francis Howell Central hosted its first ever FHSD candidate forum Wednesday, March 30th, in honor of April 5 board of education elections around the corner.

Parents and community members alike come together from all over the district to hear candidates Michelle Walker, Kimberlyann Granger, Cynthia Bice, and Mike Hoehn. Finances, Prop Y effects, and Common Core were all discussed, giving audience members a picture of each candidate’s capabilities for their new possible position. At the end, audience members were given a chance to individually ask questions concerning them and were given direct answers from candidates themselves.
