On Monday, April 22, Central’s girls track team hosted a meet against Saint Charles West, Howell, North, and Fort Zumwalt West. As always, Central’s athletes are always improving, and many of the girls broke personal records. Sophomore, Anasofia Carrillo, beat her personal record on her 4 by 800 enough that she made varsity time. All she could squeak out through a smile was

“I made varsity” Carrillo said.

Carrillo’s main event is javelin, her latest distance being 69.7, and she hopes to keep improving. By senior year Carrillo says she wants to beat the school record of 83’11” set by Makenzie Schierding in 2016.
