Districts End Boys Soccer Season
As the clock ran out on the second half of the game, the varsity soccer team was filled with emotion. The players were hugging and comforting each other on the field, some even began crying, because losing the game on Nov. 6 signified the end of their season. With a score of 0-1 against FZN, the Spartans fell just short of advancing to the district championship game. Freshman starter Tanner Jones played the entire game and came close to scoring on multiple occasions.
“Bonding with all the guys and becoming really close.” Jones says he will miss the season, “because all the positive energy the seniors brought.”
This game concluded the varsity soccer season. The team is saying goodbye to eight seniors, and they will be missed, but they look forward to a promising season next year.
