While the students of Francis Howell Central carried on their work through the rainy day, AP Art History students took their annual trip to the St. Louis Art Museum on March 3. Classmates found their groups and explored the museum, and once senior Ben Bollinger found his, he was most excited to see artwork that was similar to what he studied in class.
“Seeing the pieces in person really gave me an actual sense of what they are… the size and material of some of them were just really impressive,” said Bollinger. “It just really gives you a perspective that you don’t get from seeing them in pictures in class.”
With their last field trip of the year concluded, the students in Art History will continue their studies into more centuries of history, and some will prepare to memorize their 250 art pieces for the AP Exam in May.
