On Friday, the Francis Howell Central varsity football team lost to the Rockwood Summit Falcons. The final score was 56-20, but that is not getting the football team down.
“We learn from our mistakes,” said Coach Todd Berck. “I’m disappointed because we are a better football team than that, and we will continue to improve.”
The football team spent the next day running individual 300m drills because of the loss.
“This sport is a team sport and we have been blaming each other for the mistakes that shouldn’t be made,” said junior Josh Wade.
The football team is planning to really work on being a more physical team so they will be able to play in districts. In order to play in conference, the team needs to beat Francis Howell and Francis Howell North.
