Review: ‘Na Na Na’
As some of you may have heard, on Sept. 22 at 11:30 Central Time My Chemical Romance’s new single had its world premiere on the radio. The song is quite frankly amazing. Having been four years since their previous album and them having scrapped their previous attempt at a fourth album the band needed to rally, and boy did they.
Up until this point the album had been under tight wraps. In fact, until recently the title was not even released. They did that by making a neat little video that contained a small tidbit of the song that premiered today. The video can be seen here. And with 650,000 views in five days it just might be worth watching. The song from “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys” entitled “Na Na Na” is what listeners heard on the radio this morning.
The song is very catchy, upbeat, and all around good. It had small tastes of old My Chemical Romance, but at the same time has a completely new sound. Those who did not like MCR in the past will be drawn in for sure, and those who did will still be kept around. It is the perfect balance. Just rock and roll. The song has no Mp3 versions out until the single actually comes out on Nov. 8, but there is a link to a site with it here. At the site you will have to scroll down a bit to see the player. The album is set to release Nov. 22, there will be a full album review to follow.
