The boys swim team faces its first meet Aug. 31 against Timberland High School, remaining confident in its abilities to start the season off on the right foot.
“We are well prepared for this meet; [we are] more prepared than last year because now the team is taking competition seriously,” junior Zachary Rogers said.
To prepare for the meet, the team practiced everyday from 8:30-10p.m. Immersed in the physical aspects of competition they spent the majority of its time conditioning, muscle strengthening, and developing technique.
“Our team definitely has the talent; all we have to do is apply ourselves, and we can make it to state again,” senior Grant Koehler said.
