A Tough Loss

The FHC varsity softball team had been preparing to play the Troy Trojans. On Tuesday Sept. 10, they got the chance. The Trojans were a tough opponent, entering the game with a record of 8-1. The Spartans maintained a strong lead until the 7th inning when the Trojans scored 8 runs. The game ended in a 9-5 loss for the Spartans. The loss was hard for the players and for Assistant Coach Aaron Pearson.

“It’s always tough to lose a game like that after being up for 6 innings,” Pearson said. “I’m proud of our girls and how they battled. We will just bounce back and keep going. This won’t break us.”

Right now, our Spartans are training to face the Francis Howell North Knights on Thursday Sept. 19.
