Warming Up With The Winter Blast
Winter is officially upon us, as well as winter sports. On Friday, Nov. 11, most of FHC’s winter sports demonstrated a little of what they have been working on as the seasons start. The Sensations and cheer team showed off their new routines, while the wrestling team then rolled out their mats and entertained the crowd by attempting to pin their partners. Mens and womens basketball then took the court to demonstrate their skills with a 3 point competition and a relay race. Senior basketball player Maria Trupiano explains what she loves about the Winter Blast.
“I think the winter blast benefits the community,” Trupiano said. “Winter sports is an event where students can come and have fun and learn about the school’s teams.”
The winter sport season is upon us and the Winter Blast most definitely was not an event to miss. Catch the first women’s basketball game Dec. 8 vs Nerinx, at FHC.
