First Dual Feelings
Adrenaline is high as the first dual of the season took place on Thursday Nov. 30, the Spartans went head to head with the Lafayette team. The boys and girls teams both fought hard, however neither could take the win. On the boys side, it was neck and neck at the end with an exciting match by senior Spencer Fleming. Despite the loss, Fleming describes that he has lots of hope and high expectations for this season.
“We did not have three guys and that probably would have changed the outcome,” Fleming said. “We are a dangerous team when we are fully loaded. I expect us to take the state by storm with lots of state qualifiers.”
This dual was the beginning of a great season for FHC wrestling and you definitely do not want to miss the next one on Wednesday Nov. 14 at Howell.
