Junior Maggie Meyer pitched to the batter from Troy Buchanan High, Meyer ended up striking out the batter. After a tough fight the Spartans ended up losing the game 3-1 on Sep. 14.
After a loss of 3-1 against Troy Buchanan High School the girls JV softball team walked off the field with their heads held high and their attitudes held together. Even after the loss, the JV Spartans still showed sportsmanship and teamwork. The girls are very good about fighting for the game and never giving up on what they want.
“I was able to stay up through the game and not get too frustrated with my own or other peoples mistakes,” junior Maggie Meyers said.
The girls stuck together and worked together just as a team would. They will continue to work harder as a team throughout the season to come out on top on Oct. 2.
