The varsity girls swim team just came off another win on Wednesday, defeating the Hazelwood Central Hawks.
According to senior Katie Carroll, the girls did not have much trouble beating the Hawks.
“They were a good swim team; we just came to the meet more prepared,” said Carroll.
The girls only have a few more days until their GAC meet, which takes place Feb. 9-11 at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.
“We only have one more practice before GACs, so we have to get ourselves ready,” said Carroll.
The girls took sixth place last year in GACs and look to improve from last year.
According to Carroll, the girls have a good shot at getting the 200 free relay team to state this year. The girls only have a few more weeks left in their season.
“We’re looking to finish the rest of the season strong,” said Carroll.
