Girls soccer falls to .500

The varsity girls’ soccer team lost to Ursuline Academy (13-3) at Howell North Thursday night by a score of 2-0. The team’s record has fallen to 8-8 following the loss. Although the team lost the game, according to junior sweeper Lexie Mooney, the coaches and players were proud of the team’s performance overall.

“We played well together and gave a good effort,” said Mooney. “The school had beaten Fort Zumwalt South 8-0, so we felt we played well by keeping them to only two goals.”

Earlier in the week, the team played a tournament at St. Dominic High School. The team went 1-1 in the tournament with a 5-1 win over Timberland High School and a 2-0 loss to O’Fallon High School.

The team traveled to Fort Zumwalt South to face the Bulldogs Saturday morning at 10 am.
