Glancing up, one of the student’s siblings, awaits as her turn to grab brunch approaches on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Her sister then leads her down the table and places a muffin on her plate.
During the annual Veteran’s Day brunch, spartans and veterans share a meal to honor the hard work and dedication of veterans within the community. Hosted by the library on Wednesday, Nov. 12, about 65 guests gathered to recognize those who served in the United States armed forces. Freshman Hannah Hiscox attended the breakfast and had the opportunity to spend time with her grandfather.
“What I really liked about it was how we just all got to be with our relatives and how it was just really great, because we just got to spend time with them and hear about their stories,” said Hiscox. “[The Veterans Day brunch] just really shows how we need to be grateful for the people in our life and how they did so much for us.”
