A rivaling match for the Girls Varsity Wrestling team between Central and Howell ended in a win for FHC, with a score of 48-27. Central’s wrestlers were left with a sense of pride after their win, and senior Amelia Iden reaffirmed her love for the sport.
“Wrestling wasn’t really a sport I ever saw myself playing, but I’ve really grown from it,” said Iden. “I really enjoy the mental aspect of wrestling, it’s a good challenge, and… it’s always nice to beat our rivals.”
With another win under their belt for this wrestling season, the girls’ wrestlers are ready to compete in another away match against David Hickman High School on Jan. 23.
