After many weeks of preparation, the day of the Fine Arts Festival arrived, centered around this year’s theme “Art iIn Bloom.” Hosted and organized by the National Art Honor Society, the annual festival gives the community the opportunity to appreciate the wide range of artwork created by FHC students. Floral decorations were placed throughout the cCafeteria to enrich the space and atmosphere. Adding to the experience, performances from the theater department and jazz band were available for guests to enjoy as they explored the festival. Members of the NAHS also offered a variety of activity stations for attendees to engage in throughout the event. With this being her first year as a member of NAHS, junior Meagan Hoffmann experienced the event through a new light.
“It makes me appreciate art more because I’m usually not able to see a ton of people’s art. Being able to just walk through during setup or the actual Fine Arts Festival and seeing all these people’s art really impresses me,” said Hoffmann. “[The Festival] unites our community with the arts and connects a lot of different parts of our school as well.”
To celebrate and reflect upon another successful Fine Arts Festival, the National Art Honor society will meet on the Monday after spring break, March 30, in room 246.
