Sophomore Nola Patterson was the anchor for the girls 4x400m relay on Apr. 24. Team manager Javi Sheppard can be seen cheering Nola on as she ran around the back straight away.
On Apr. 24 the Francis Howell Central Spartans Varsity Track Team headed off to Parkway North High School for the invitational meet dubbed the “Fred Lyons”. The Spartans fought hard and had a strong showing, even breaking a school record for the boys 200m dash. Athlete Xavier Morrison went in detail abouthis favorite part of the meet.
“I really liked just the atmosphere, you know, meets are always fun to be at. And it was really cool to see Ryan [Halterman] get the school record. I didnt think that record would fall.”
The Spartan’s next meet is at Howell on May 1, which is the last meet before the state championship series.
