The varsity boys tennis team went 1-1 this week, defeating the St. Charles West Warriors by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday night and then losing its first match of the season Thursday night against the DeSmet High School Spartans by a score of 7-2. The team’s record is now 3-1 heading into the third week of the season.
Senior Justin Arndt is pretty satisfied with how the season is going for the team thus far.
“It’s going fine for the most part,” said Arndt, who is second seed on the varsity gold team.
The team is continuing to work on all aspects of the game in order to improve.
“We’re especially working on our strokes and our serves,” said Arndt.
The team will have four days off before its next game Tuesday night when the team will travel to Troy-Buchanan High School to play the Trojans.
