Taking down the net
The FHC volleyball teams seasons are coming to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye, maybe forever.
“We had a lot of injuries, but managed to pull through and have a great year,” said JV player Sara Murphy.
When the last few games rolled around, the volleyball teams thought about what they enjoyed most. For some, it was the friendships. For others, it was the time spent playing the sport they have dedicated their lives to.
“I think our season turned out great, even though we didn’t win many games. The players on my team really bonded together, and we all became a huge family,” said freshman player Angel Ikeda.
As the seniors on the varsity team leave, they will always remember the times they spent on the court. With their high school careers coming to an end, the seniors look forward to all the possibilities to come, whether it be college volleyball or not.
Taking the older player’s spots, the younger players look forward to the years to come as their FHC volleyball careers take off.
“I’m going to hopefully make a club team and get lessons so I can make the JV team,” said Ikeda.
As the teams prepare for next year, the girls are already excited for what is to come.
“I’m looking forward to playing with the same girls and have an even better season,” said Murphy.
As the seasons come to a close, for some final, the girls volleyball teams will always remember the fantastic years or the first year they have had on the court.
