Taking A Plunge
The Boys’ Swim and Dive Team competed against Timberland High School on Monday, Sept. 29th, in a home meet at the St Peters Rec Plex. Their late night meet ended at 10 pm and left the Spartans leaving without a victory. Despite their loss, the team left with their heads up and bonds stronger than ever in preparation for a win at their next meet. Senior Jeremiah Gabel describes their team’s friendship as their greatest strength.
“We have good relationships together and get along pretty well,” Gabel said. “When someone struggles at meets or a practice, someone on the team will stop what they’re doing to help them to improve.”
As the season progresses, the boys improve and continue to build their bond. The friendship and leadership among their team may be the gateway to a big victory. Join the Spartans for their next swim meet Oct. 10th at the St Peters Rec Plex.
