Caroline Tarleton is a senior and a first year Staff Photographer. This year she is a Drum Major for the Spartan Regiment and also apart of the National Art Honor Society and French Honor Society. This year she hopes to learn more about photography and plans to pursue her creative studies after high school.

This photo is a representation of beauty standards and the struggle that a lot of people face of using makeup as an expression or as a way to hide our flaws but, also fighting that need and feeling ashamed if we do feel the need to make ourselves look different. Done by taking multiple pictures of myself in low lighting and then blending the photos together to create a dizzied effect, I also edited in some glitch-like effects to add to the haziness of the photo.
