Basketball team uses loss as a lesson
The varsity boys basketball team hit a rough stretch the past week, losing its games to Berkeley and Fort Zumwalt West by a score of 62-50 and 69-49, respectively, in the Fox Tournament.
The team is using its loss against West as a way to improve as they take on the Jaguars for a second time Tuesday night at home.
“[We] are diagnosing what we need to improve on during practice to make us better against West the second time,” said junior forward Ryan Tebeau.
By fixing mistakes made in the first meeting, the Spartans hope the outcome of the second game will be different.
“We don’t want to make the same mistakes we did the first time we played West,” said Tebeau.
The game against Fort Zumwalt West will be Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the large gym.
