On Nov. 20, the varsity boys basketball team won both rounds of the preseason scrimmage at Fort Zumwalt South. The first, facing Hickman and the second, facing South. This victory came with a boost in morale, making players confident for the inclement season as stated by junior Ryan Halterman. In addition, some insight was given on what the team’s goals are for this season.
 “A big team goal of ours is to win conference in districts,” Halterman said. “It’s really exciting that we get to host districts for the first time and a while, and just I think we can have a 21 season this year”
This confidence boost will follow the team through this year’s season, possibly pushing them through future struggles.Â
