Arete, a unique club that began in 1997, brings students together and recognizes persistence. Students get rewarded with pillars for hard work in areas such as, Academic Excellence, Athletic Sportsmanship, Extracurricular Service, and Productive citizenship. Along with these awards, students get to participate in events such as the Arete breakfast where they spend an hour socializing with their peers over a free breakfast, as well as a field day in March. During the field day, students get released out of class early and get the chance to eat and play on inflatables with fellow members. Students looking for a club to be a part of are highly encouraged to join Arete. Senior Braeden Harton who has been a member since his freshman year expresses his enjoyment being a part of the club.
“I think Arete has helped the school by allowing people who aren’t normally included in clubs or maybe don’t have time for clubs get involved and just have fun and have school spirit,” said Harton.
Arete registration begins in the fall of 2026.
