In the Culinary Arts classroom, students are taught the necessary skills to sustain themselves in life through food. Mrs. Bethany Bear takes pride in teaching students these fundamental skills while making cooking new dishes fun and delicious.
“We cook pretty much every day for a year, so students really get to learn new techniques for cooking and they get to try new foods as well,” said Bear. “Most of their learning happens when they’re in the lab… and being able to cook means they are able to take care of themselves and their families better later in life.”
Although making gingerbread houses is always Mrs. Bear’s favorite lab, she is excited for every day with her culinary classes where they learn influential life skills.
