On Jan. 8, 2026 the Central Spartans freshman boys basketball team played John Burrough’s school from St. Louis Missouri. The Spartans hosted the game at home, and went on to win the game 22-54. Freshman Aliijah Brooks explains that they celebrated not only the big win but also teammate Jeremy “JJ” Rose scoring his first points of the season.

“JJ scored his first points today, so we dumped water on him and just had some fun after the game” said Brooks.

The freshman boys team will next be playing at St. Dominic on Monday, Jan. 26.
