After winning his match on Jan. 14, the referee raises freshman David Bundy’s hand to declare he was the winner. Bundy had one match, allowing him to win all his matches that day.

Going against their rivals in a duel, the FHC Spartans were paired against the Francis Howell High Vikings on Jan. 14. Because it’s against their rival school, it was important for the Spartans to win. Freshman David Bundy finds that wrestling pushes him to strive for better when he’s close to defeat.

 

“Almost getting pinned at the end pushes you to do better… and it’s not just about the sport, but it’ll go into your life after” said Bundy.

 

Although the freshman and JV seasons are over, varsity boys wrestling will return on Feb. 7 against Seckman.
