Swimming at FHC has been an overlooked sport, despite it being a state-recognized MSHAA sport; however, other than the parents, the Spartans don’t attend. Many students don’t know that swimming meets are held in the rec plex (street n stuff), this is where all of the schools in the area practice, including the Zumwalt schools and others in the conference practice and compete. As the swimmers’ postseason is coming along. Junior Sarah Turner talks about how the swimmers deserve more recognition.
Turner says, “I feel like people don’t realize how much work we put in every day,” she said. “If more students came to meets, they’d see how competitive and exciting it really is.”
The Spartan girls’ team has concluded its season.
