The orange out game against Liberty on Feb. 17 had a deeper meaning than just “a normal” basketball “game”. This game was to help a student at Francis Howell Central battling cancer and to show support to his family. Teammates, staff, students, and parents wore the orange shirts to show they are a part of this hard time with them. Kylie Wright explains how the way this game was more than just a game but a community coming together for a good cause.
“It showed that we cared about leukemia and it provided funds to a good cause, like when we went up with the buckets collecting donations,” Wright said.
The next girls varsity basketball game is on Friday Feb. 27, at 5:30 at Francis Howell North.
