The teens in this generation can change the way people view God. Many people have heard of God or even been to a church, but they haven’t taken it seriously or they don’t see potential. This all changes now with the way teens have explored their life with Jesus and how much he has changed them for the better. Many teens get together for a youth group with churches across the globe, but this specific church is called Fieldview. They have brought teens closer together and closer in their relationship with Christ. This church has made a community with love for these students. This all helps with learning new things and growing with peers all around.
Students have expressed that they feel safe in this church to talk about personal things in their lives. They have shared their testimonies with each other, been honest about their struggles, and even the happy things that happen. Only 25% of teens are expressing no interest in religion right now according to Springtide Research Institute, and with how this generation is moving in their religion today, the number can decrease. Students have said they feel safe going to church and seeing the people there. This experience is not just about your relationship with Christ but also about growing in how to talk to people about how they feel with no judgment towards them.
Youth pastor Cole Martin at Fieldview says “I love getting asked questions, especially about God and church because I know that Jesus is working in their heart.” Some may think that asking questions is scary or doubt what they are asking but at church it means you’re curious and finding the relationship with Jesus that has always been there. “The most important thing to gain a long team is having an intimate relationship with Him and spending eternity with Him in heaven” Martin said. Cole’s main goal for the youth group (Fieldhouse) is bringing new people to a relationship with Jesus.
