Baseball games on Saturdays bring shining sun and cheers from fans and parents alike. In a game characterized by an abundance of hits and scoring, the Spartans put together a win of 6-1 over Parkway Central in the second game of a doubleheader. Even without any standout offensive moments or home runs, the team kept their energy up and scored six runs. Junior Will Brown enjoys moments with his team and the bond that they have with each other both on and off the field, and believes that has led to their performance this season.Â
“Just being around the guys all the time is amazing. The boys are rolling, we’ve had a few unfortunate losses, but we’ve been playing hard.” Brown said.Â
The next varsity baseball game will take place at home on May 4 against De Smet Jesuit at 5 p.m.
