Six straight Spartan wins

The Spartan Hockey team has kicked off the season with six straight wins and a zero in the defeat spot. Three of the past five games have had a large gap in the score as the team skates to victory. The team’s last game against Timberland was a victory by a score of 7-1, with senior Adam Otten scoring the first goal.

“The game against Timberland was a joke,” said junior John Mueller. “They weren’t a good quality team.”

Because the team is not completely school sponsored, many of the players also play on AAA and other higher level teams. This makes it difficult for the rest of the players to pull the extra weight, but according junior Blake Sneed, the Spartans really come together to work around the absences.

The team’s next game is Friday, at 7:45 p.m. in the St. Peters Rec-Plex Arena against Fort Zumwalt West.
