Girls basketball team struggles due to snow days
Coming up this week the girls basketball team will be playing Troy tonight at Francis Howell Central at 6:30 p.m. for Varsity. Tonight’s game is also senior night for the girls. Thursday they will be playing Francis Howell North as an away game which starts at 6:30 p.m. The girls started the GAC’s with playing against Fort Zumwalt West.
“[They] played a really good game,” said Coach Brian Ricker.
With the time running out in the second half there were a lot of free throw shots.
“[There] were about six or seven shots right around the basket by the girls, and then West scored again with 1:30 left on the clock so we had to start to foul. [We] lost by nine with a great effort by the girls,” said Coach Ricker.
The game ended 37 West – 29 Central.
