This past week, the varsity and junior varsity track teams competed in the Fort Zumwalt West Invitational. The weather was better than the last meet they ran in the snow, and so were the results.
“Winning gold in the 400m run was senior Allie Berck,” Coach Travis Wilson said. “A’lanesha McFarland brought home two bronze medals in the 100 meter and 200 meter runs.”
With the success they have had this far into the season, there is no stopping them now. The girls are under new direction this year and the results prove they are performing better than years before.
“The girls 400 meter relay team also brought home a bronze medal. Members included junior A’lanesha McFarland, sophomore Kristen Warncke, sophomore Destinee Corrigan, and junior Lauren Rotondo,” said Coach Wilson.
Both the boys and girls track teams will be competing in the University City invitational this weekend.
