This Friday is the conference tournament for boys track and field. Senior Zach Taylor and junior Zach Lund are preparing for this event intently. Although they perform in different categories, they are both striving for success.

“In our last meet, I didn’t do so well. It was super windy outside and I didn’t vault very well,” said Lund.

Track is a top priority for both Lund and Taylor.

“It’s definitely something I look forward to. I really enjoy running,” said Taylor.

Taylor has won a total of three races this season, as well as placed fourth in the two mile run.

Both runners are motivated for conference tomorrow in Troy and both have personal goals for this meet.

“I want to stay motivated for conference and score as many points as I can for my team,” said Taylor.

Lund has a goal of vaulting 11 feet and six inches. He has made well over 12 feet in practices, but not in a meet.

“My overall goal for the entire season is to place at the state meet,” said Taylor.

GACs are being held here at FHC next week.
