Lembeck’s personal milestone

April 20, the boys track team gathered at Ladue High School for another track meet. As the season continues, some are making their own personal records, one of them being sophomore Walter Lembeck.

“Saturday, I ran a personal best in the two mile with a 10:06,” Lembeck said. “It was a really competitive meet with fast times and good competition.”

Coach Bob Breuer agrees. He believes Lembeck is going to continue his climb in event times, and more.

“Walter Lembeck is having an outstanding year. He worked hard in the offseason so that he would be able to post good times in the events. We are looking for Walter to do some special things in the years to come for FHC,” Mr. Breuer said.

Not only are Lembeck’s times getting better, but as a whole the team is improving their times.

“Our 4-x-800 relay looks strong and continues to get quicker. I have improved this year I feel like due to more competition within the distance team. I also feel like a few of our sprint relays look strong heading towards conference, as well as individuals in our field events,” Lembeck said. “Everybody is trying to get better as we push towards the state series.”
