Girls Basketball Opens the Season With a Win
The girls varsity basketball team battled against Visitation on Tuesday, December 3rd in the Lutheran Saint Charles Tournament to advance to the semifinals. Visitation kept it a fairly close game with the score being 34-26 at half. However, in the second half, the Spartans increased their lead and ended the game with a final score of 72-46. Senior guard Makayla Best attributes the win to the team’s preparation beforehand.
“We had a great practice before the game, and we were all excited because it was our first game,” said Best. “I am looking forward to growing as a team and individually.”
The girls hope to get another win in the championship game at Lutheran Saint Charles High on Friday, December 6th at 6:30 pm.
