Annual Donations
Student Council’s annual blood drive took place on Thursday, Nov. 10th. Students meeting the requirement for a blood donor got to make an appointment and be released from class in order to go to the gym and donate. At the gym students are screened in order to make sure they will be right as blood donors and then given snacks and drinks. Senior Molly McGraw is glad she donated.
“I did the blood drive because I am a person capable of doing it so I thought ‘Why not do it?’ – it was really easy!” says McGraw, “I was kind of nervous for it but the lady was super sweet and she helped me through it and honestly I felt perfectly fine after I ate the little snacks they gave us. I thought it was pretty fun.”
With another successful blood drive gone by, Student Council and FHC are looking forward to next year’s and thank everyone who donated.
