The boys swim team competed against Holt High School on Oct. 12 right before fall break, but fell short. After losing by only one point, the team was disappointed in the close races. Junior Aadit Mehta describes how the loss affected the team’s attitude.
“Every year it’s close between us and Holt, ” Mehta said. “We tried to come through with relays and events but came short. This just gives us motivation to try harder at practices and future meets.”
The team went on to send seven boys to state where they competed on Nov. 10. The boys did much better than they had expected by leaving the meet with a higher seed and dropping 7 seconds in one of the relays.
