Senior Claire Sanders smiles while being handed her personalized sign from her teammates. Each of the seniors got a different sign from the team, made specifically for the senior receiving it.
To celebrate the graduating seniors, the girls varsity soccer team held their Senior Night before their game against the Timberland Wolves on Tuesday, April 30. This being a special night for the team, especially the seniors, the team played hard together against Timberland but lost with a score of 2-0.
Senior Claire Sanders talked about how being on the varsity team has impacted her, “I think it’s changed me as a player and a person and it’s made me a lot better at soccer because rather than getting down on myself, I realized it’s ok to make mistakes.”
The team hopes to win their next game against Fort Zumwalt North on May 13. This will be their first game of districts.
