Surrounded by her teammates, while emerged in water is an average night for freshman Eden Rittgers. Swimming since she was eight years old, Rittgers has made a home within the swim community, forming many relationships along the way. Starting her journey in a summer swim league when she was only eight years old, Rittgers has made her way onto the girls varsity swim team as only a freshman.

“Being in the water is, like, one of my favorite things,” Rittgers said. “Especially during practices, when I can just kind of go at my own pace. It's very relaxing, just a time for me to like, think and reflect on my day.”

Rittgers plans on continuing to swim for Central for the entirety of her high school career, as she loves the community and the strength it gives her.
