Good things come in threes: three strikes, three outs, and for the varsity baseball team on April 9, three home runs. With a high level of offense from both teams and a score of 8-5, the home runs allowed the Spartans to come out on top. They took on North Point on their home field, bringing familiarity and an excited crowd. Keeping up high energy and motivation in the dugout is essential for any team, and big offensive and defensive plays help players to be continually happy and supportive. Junior Chase Radeke was one of the players who hit a home run in the game, and he believes the team’s motivation can be found in many ways.
“We just stay up, we stay talking, and just communicating with each other and keeping each other happy” he said.
Varsity’s next game is Friday, April 17 at 6 p.m at home against the Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs.
