Fifteen wins in a row was the result after the boys JV volleyball game against Troy on May 5. The team expected to have an easy win since they had beaten them without trouble before, but that game was slightly different. After the second set, the score was 1-1, sending them into a third and final set to decide who the winner is. The Spartans ended the game with a successful last set. Volleyballs were consistently being slammed onto Troy’s side of the court by sophomore Galen Davis when he was set to during the game.
“[The season] went a lot better than I thought it would… we’ve only lost to two teams and we won GACs,” Davis said. “To get better [for next year], I’ll work on my passing and technique in general.”
This game was their last of the season, but many athletes will be participating in beach volleyball over the summer to stay ready and work on their plays.
