The girls track team this season is under new direction, Coach Travis Wilson. He was solely the boys coach last year. Last year’s girl coach, Coach Andrea Mannino, has taken time off to spend with her daughter for this season.
“I pursued the opportunity to unify both the men’s and women’s teams. Practices are still structured very similar to last season, and I anticipate only a few minor changes for the girls program,” said Coach Wilson.
Being new to the coaching females, he has already seen great potential and is looking forward to this season with both teams.
“Thus far, our distance runners, vaulters and throwers have looked strong on the women’s team. In addition, we have some underclassmen on the women’s team with a great deal of talent in the sprints and relays,” said Coach Wilson.
