Boys fall to Knights

On Saturday, April 2, the Spartan baseball team took on the Howell North Knights and lost 12-10.

“We need to work on staying focused on the game and not giving up towards the end,” said senior second baseman Dylan Schindler. “We really need to work on staying focused throughout the whole game because we lost it toward the end of that game.”

This loss brings their record to 4-3, and Coach Ray Howard is hoping to turn that record around to build up momentum within the next week.

“I had higher hopes for the game, and losing was really discouraging,” said Coach Howard. “We have four games this week and they can change everything.”

Schindler, although expecting more from the season, does not blame his team.

“There is only so much you can do when your field is wet,” said Schindler. “Batting cages and drills can only get you so far.”
